Maria Kapsi

Teacher

Mrs. Maria holds a degree in Classical Philology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with merit. She went on to specialise in Special Education, completing a Diploma in Special Needs—focusing on Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, and Autism—at the Kapodistrian University of Athens (2013). She later earned a Master’s degree with distinction in Special Education from the University of Nottingham (2015).

She worked in Greece for seven years, tutoring secondary school students in Ancient and Modern Greek and Latin, while also providing one-to-one support to primary pupils with learning difficulties. She qualified as a teacher in the UK in 2016.

Since 2020, Mrs. Maria has been working as a teacher in a Special Needs school in Manchester, supporting pupils with complex learning needs and autism. She is currently completing the National Professional Qualification for Leading Teaching (NPQLT) as part of her professional development toward middle leadership.

Mrs. Maria has extensive teaching experience across private and public settings, spanning primary, secondary, and tertiary education in both Greece and England, where she has lived since 2016. She joined our school in 2024.
