Welcome to our School
Since its establishment in 1955, the Hellenic School of Manchester has been the only official Greek Supplementary School in Greater Manchester recognised by both the Ministry of Education of Greece and the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.
Our school is also a member of the Hellenic Education Office of Greece, of the Holy Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain (K.E.S.), the Cyprus Educational Mission (K.E.A.) and the Manchester Supplementary Schools Network. In addition, we are an official examination centre for the Greek Language Certification (Ellinomatheia), since 2018.
Here at the Hellenic School we value the importance of teaching and promoting the Greek language and culture in our children. Our school welcomes children and adults who have Greek as their first or second language and aims to help them develop their understanding.
As a school, we have an open-door policy and we are always available to discuss your educational requirements and how we can meet them.
The Hellenic School of Manchester offers classes:
- At our main building in Salford, located next to the Greek Orthodox Church. Classes are carried out on a weekly basis on Saturday mornings
- At Chorlton High School, where we offer classes on Tuesday evenings
- Online, throughout the week
